May events with Frederick CUUPS: Another month is wrapping up and May Eve is here! The flowers are blooming and the days are growing warmer. It’s the time of the outward spiral, the turn toward community and the company of like minds and hearts. Please join us as we stay connected and come together to honor the Earth, Gods, Ancestors, and Wheel of the Year.

Beltane Ritual ~ Awakening to Spring
Friday, April 30th, 7 PM
As the natural world warms and awakens to the growing sun, so too do our minds and hearts find new energy. In this Beltane ritual, we will honor the theme of awakening and mindful return.
Supplies Needed:
One red, orange, or yellow candle
Small bowl of water
Some mineral or table salt
Ribbon or cord at least one foot long

Tarot 101: How to Learn Tarot Without Losing Your Mind

Join Heather for this FCUUPS workshop series focused on building comfort with reading tarot for yourself! Over the six sessions, you’ll gain a solid foundation for working with tarot as we break down the systems and structures at its core. Whether you’ve just gotten your first deck* or simply want to be less dependent on reaching for the book every time – this series is for you!
*no tarot deck required
**Participants will need a dedicated notebook or other method of recording their thoughts & observations as we work through the deck.

Blackfeather Mystery School: Crow Course
The 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 7 PM
The Blackfeather Mystery School is a full-spectrum training in Empowered Witchcraft developed by mystic witch Irene Glasse and spiritworker Caine Dreamwalker. The 2021 series is the Crow level, an intermediate training. Prerequisites include experience journeying and cultivating spirit allies, a good understanding of the fundamentals of witchcraft, and a willingness to practice class content outside the classroom. The May Witching Hour
Friday, May 28th, 7 PM
Join members of the Frederick CUUPS community for an informal hangout and check-in. The Witching Hour is a social time. Everyone should have their favorite beverage at the ready. There are no rules about this beverage. ALL beverages are equally welcome.
This event does not have a structure per se. You are invited to attend as your true self, in the company of other pagans. You may wear a hat, or not. You may paint your face, or not. Do you have a new tattoo? You can show us if you’d like! Did you just get a new item for your altar that is the absolute BEST THING YOU’VE EVER SEEN? Why yes, we would love to see that. Depending on the number of attendees, breakout rooms may be employed. See you there!
