For Immediate Release
The Frederick Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans is pleased to announce that due to increasing offerings, attendance and interest, the guiding structure of FCUUPS is transitioning from an informal board with a chairperson to a formalized board with titled roles. Irene Glasse and Tamara Curry were voted in as acting President and Vice President, respectively, at the most recent board meeting on Thursday, June 13th.
During the next six months, the informal board (sometimes referred to as the FCUUPS Dragons) will flesh out the final structure and responsibilities of all titled board positions, work on bylaws to help keep us steady and ethically sound, and plan our first round of open elections, tentatively scheduled for summer of 2020.
Frederick CUUPS is grateful to the thriving Pagan community in Western Maryland and beyond for the opportunity to expand. As ever, we strive to meet the needs of a growing Pagan community and to networking Pagan-identified Unitarian Universalists, educating people about Paganism, promoting interfaith dialogue, developing Pagan liturgies and theologies, and supporting Pagan-identified UU religious professionals.
Warmly,
Irene Glasse
Acting President of FCUUPS
